The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (also known as the IUCN Red List or Red Data List), founded in 1964, is the world’s most comprehensive inventory of the global conservation status of biological species. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the world’s main authority on the conservation status of species. A series of Regional Red Lists are produced by countries or organizations, which assess the risk of extinction to species within a political management unit.
IUCN Bangladesh initially came to Solis-IT looking for help on how they will manage such a big species database and how they will keep each versions of the species assessments. IUCN Bangladesh also asked Solis-IT to create a beautiful website to display the species information along with their extinct levels.
We ended up designing and building a modern and informative website for them which has been appreciated internationally by few of global organizations and the societies.
We built a slick, mobile-first responsive website that emphasizes IUCN’s long-standing position as Bangladesh’s leading non government organization. Species information is categorized by their group and extinct levels and can be searched using different keywords. Each section is clearly defined and species list has been displayed with their range map which resulting in a user-friendly and beautiful website that stands with them, head and shoulders above the competition.
